The Democratic Alliance (DA) in the Northern Cape today flighted our election billboard in Kathu.

The DA has been campaigning persistently since August last year. Now, as we near the last month of the 2024 Election Campaign, we are upscaling visibility even further, as we push harder to rescue the Northern Cape on 29 May.

The 2024 Election is the most crucial election since 1994. Our province and country are held together by threads and will not survive another five years of failed ANC-rule. In addition, the changing political landscape now opens the way for the formation of a doomsday coalition between the ANC, EFF and parties like the PA. With crime, corruption, unemployment, water shortages and power outages already at an all-time high, the devastation that could unfold under a doomsday-government are catastrophic.

This election is therefore about survival. It requires South Africans everywhere to reclaim their future by saying no to another thirty years of bad governance, and to rather choose the path to a better future.

Given the DA’s proven ability to govern well in the Western Cape and in the many municipalities that we run, which is documented in independent reports, nothing currently makes more sense than to throw our people a lifeline by getting behind the DA. It is for this reason that the DA has been consistently amplifying our call to voters to use the power of their vote to rescue South Africa from total collapse.

The DA therefore reiterates our call to voters everywhere to treat 29 May as the dealmaker or the deal-breaker for South Africa. Every vote counts in the mission to rescue the Northern Cape and South Africa.
