The Democratic Alliance (DA) in the Northern Cape is saddened by the tragic passing of former Cabinet Minister Tina Joemat-Pettersson.
Joemat-Pettersson occupied various political roles in the Northern Cape since the dawn of democracy, also serving as the Member of the Executive Council for two provincial government departments. She was a very active and vibrant individual and made an impact on the communities that she served.
We send our heartfelt sympathies to her family and to the African National Congress (ANC), to whom she has dedicated many years of service.
May her soul rest in peace and may her family and friends find comfort in this time of grieving.
