Tomorrow, Saturday, 15 August 2026, the Democratic Alliance (DA) will announce our Mayoral Candidate for Sol Plaatje Municipality.
Kimberley is hurting, and its people are paying the price for a local government that has lost its way.
Instead of focusing on the basic needs of residents, the municipality has become consumed by factionalism, political infighting and internal power struggles. Meanwhile, residents are left to deal with broken water and sanitation systems, pothole-ridden roads, failing services, worsening living conditions and growing concerns about crime.
Residents of Sol Plaatje deserve a government that delivers, not one that makes excuses while the city deteriorates around them.
