The Democratic Alliance (DA) in the Northern Cape today officially welcomed Kgomotso Charity Mohapanele as its newest Member of the Provincial Legislature (MPL).
Mohapanele was sworn in today via a ceremony arranged by the legislature.
Mohapanele’s upbringing was grounded in politics and she is a seasoned politician with experience in local government, having served as a councillor for Sol Plaatje municipality. She is also passionate about uplifting communities and about tackling gender-based violence.
Mohapanele fills the vacancy following the termination of membership of former DA MPL Grantham Steenkamp.
We wish Mohapanele well as she embarks on this new journey in her political career. We are confident that Mohapanele will contribute significantly to the DA’s legislature caucus, with her relentless pursuit of the truth and her determination to make a difference.
